SOA Software Launches Free Platform to Bring API Providers and Developers Together

SOA Software, a company that specializes with enterprise API management, today launched SOA Software Open, a powerful API developer platform that lets users manage their APIs without the limitations that would otherwise appear in other API management solutions.

This new platform will tighten relationships between API providers and app developers, allowing them to express themselves in an environment that brings about powerful API management capabilities and a collaborative social environment in which they can build apps with very flexible APIs.

This platform will allow users to harness up to 10 million API transactions every month, making it appealing for those who are just starting a project. As developers start expanding their projects, they can upgrade to SOA Software's Enterprise API Platform as an on-premise or a SaaS (News - Alert) solution to handle a larger amount of transactions and brand APIs.

Kin Lane, an API evangelist, said, "SOA Software Open combines API management with an innovative social developer community platform. This unique solution gives customers the opportunity to secure and manage their APIs and then promote them across new or existing groups of developers."

SOA Software Open can easily be thought of as an open field in which developers can collaborate to flex their innovative muscles within a free environment. Anyone using the Enterprise API Platform can still publish APIs to SOA Software Open if they wish to do so, making their APIs public to the entire community.

"Our combination of powerful API management capabilities with a social community makes it easier than ever for developers to collaborate in building apps and APIs. Open provides a free-of-charge platform for managing API performance, security, and the connections between apps and APIs, while socially engaging with app and API developers," said Alistair Farquharson, CTO of SOA Software.
