Axway Intends to Acquire Vordel

Axway, a business interaction networks specialist, recently announced that it intends to acquire Vordel (News - Alert), a company that deals in software technologies enabling enterprises to deliver APIs for cloud and mobile. The officials from Axway said the company will benefit from Vordel's API and identity capabilities, enabling its customers to seamlessly manage their flows of data that extend to cloud and mobile.

A software publisher with more than 11,000 clients in 100 countries, Axway integrates B2B solutions, MFT (Managed File Transfer), the monitoring of industry-related processes, securing e-mails and authentication associated with professional services and managed services.

On the other hand, Vordel's products enable enterprises to deliver APIs to cloud, mobile, and partners. The Vordel API Server is an enterprise-ready, unified API platform to manage, deliver and secure APIs. Global enterprises rely on the Vordel API Server to deploy mission-critical APIs and extend existing IT infrastructure to keep up with the rapid change in mobile and cloud computing technologies.
