Pestana to use MICROS OPERA in Brazilian Properties

MICROS Systems, Inc. has announced a new development regarding the Pestana Group, one of Portugal’s hospitality groups. Pestana has selected MICROS OPERA, an information technology solution for the retail and hospitality industries, for its nine properties in Brazil, expanding its decade-long partnership with MICROS.

Currently, the Pestana Group owns and manages 90 properties, spread over 13 countries, under the brands "Pestana Hotels & Resorts" and "Pousadas de Portugal."

Pestana sees great value in its partnership with MICROS. They offer flexibility and scalability with the MICROS OPERA and MICROS POS solutions. Pestana hopes to utilize the suite of OPERA applications to the fullest advantage as it will be necessary in order to maintain its current growth trajectory.

With MICROS currently having over 330,000 systems installed, this latest development with Pestana’s Brazilian properties will only allow it to continue to grow its presence in the hospitality and retail industries.
