Aternity Announces Support for VMware Branch Office Desktop

Aternity (News - Alert), Inc. has announced that the company will now support VMware Branch Office Desktop with its Frontline Performance Intelligence (FPI) Platform. This support allows users to see how well virtual desktop and remote workers can apply its functions, the company stated.

By offering the industry’s first Frontline Performance Intelligence Platform, Aternity improves real end-user experience management. The Aternity FPI Platform considerably decreases business disruption and increases user productivity by equipping companies with user-centric, proactive IT management features.

There are about 11 million branch offices all over the world, and about 80 percent of all employees work outside of their company’s primary headquarters or main business officers.

This support from Aternity offers the real-time analytics to reduce the IT and Help Desk resources needed to support each remote office.

To cater to the various needs within the branch office, the VMware Branch Office Desktop offers a comprehensive approach. IT companies can centrally manage OS images for both their physical end points with the help of this solution.

“We are excited to bring this integration to market with VMware,” said Trevor Matz, president and CEO at Aternity. “Traditionally, desktop virtualization has represented a challenge for branch office and remote users, as those users often do not have optimal connectivity and sufficient bandwidth. By combining the power of VMware Branch Office Desktop and Aternity’s FPI Platform, customers and service providers now have the visibility they need to deliver optimal support for end users, providing them with a user-centric, proactive approach.”

In April 2012, the company unveiled a new End User Experience (EUE) management solution for mobile applications. For any transaction on any device, anytime and anywhere, the new Aternity Mobile Frontline Performance Intelligence (MFPI) enables companies to get a unified view of end user experience.

Irrespective of their delivery mechanism, this enterprise mobility management platform supports all types of iOS and Android (News - Alert) applications.
