Yesterday was an extremely exciting day, not only because ITEXPO (News - Alert) Austin 2012 is currently underway in Austin, TX in conjunction with the M2M Evolution Conference, but also due to the fact that Eurotech, an embedded technologies, products and systems provider, revealed that its Everyware Cloud offering was chosen as the ideal platform to utilize when powering enterprise deployments.
The company won this prestigious honor at the M2M Evolution Conference Battle of the Platforms along with SenseAware, a FedEx tracking platform. Battle of the Platforms is an event that took place over a half-day on Tuesday, October 2, 2012, at the Austin Convention Center.
"As we continue to advance and simplify M2M service creation, we appreciate the opportunity to showcase how easy it can be to deploy M2M applications on the Everyware Cloud platform," said Hilary Tomasson, vice president of Marketing, Eurotech North America. "Our demo for the first M2M Battle of the Platforms showed how customers can monitor distributed machines all over the world and collect, analyze and act on data in the cloud for more efficient business operations."
As the M2M space continues to expand, it is highly important for competing providers to remain up to date with next-generation technologies. In fact, just earlier this week, ABI Research (News - Alert) released its findings that show that China may soon be the most popular global vendor for M2M modules.
While many industry analysts predict that the costs of the M2M module will decrease by nearly 18 percent by 2015, many are still hopping on board this moving train and attempting to become the overall winner in this rapidly expanding industry.
