Attunity (News - Alert) Ltd., a provider of information availability software solutions, has introduced Attunity Replicate for Exadata, a new data replication solution designed to enable quick loading of big data into and out of Oracle (News - Alert) Exadata.
Officials with Attunity said the solution further expands the company’s reach into the big data market and features targeted optimizations that result in high performance and rapid implementation.
According to company officials, Attunity Replicate for Exadata enables organizations to deliver initiatives such as big data business intelligence (BI) and enterprise analytics, and will be unveiled during the Oracle Open World event in San Francisco, CA (News - Alert), from October 1-4, 2012.
Company officials said that Attunity Replicate for Exadata is designed to empower Oracle customers to quickly load data from heterogeneous data sources and maintain the changed data continuously and efficiently. The latter function is facilitated via log-based change data capture (CDC) technology; streaming changes captured from the source databases to the data warehouse with very low impact on the source.
“Attunity is pleased to add support for Oracle Exadata, one of the most widely-used data warehouses in the world, as well as continue to expand on our ever-growing market,” said Matt Benati, VP global marketing at Attunity, in a statement.
“Increasingly, we meet customers that are challenged to load Big Data quickly into highly parallelized data warehouses due to the Big Data transfer bottleneck. It’s gratifying to know that we’ve been able to respond swiftly to this industry need and assist customers to use Big Data for enterprise BI and analytics,” said Benati.
TMCnet in July reported that Attunity and EMC (News - Alert) have come together to rollout a high-performance, easy-to-use big data replication solution for the EMC Greenplum Unified Analytics Platform.
Attunity Replicate, which is officially qualified by EMC, now offers dedicated optimizations for EMC Greenplum products.
