Ronald McDonald House Charities Becomes New Member of FORTRUST's 'Powered by Giving' Program

The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Denver, Inc. announced that it would be partnering up with FORTRUST’s “Powered by Giving” program designed to help ailing charities. The plan is to offer stability to charities that might be failing due to current IT environment growth or other factors.

The first Ronald McDonald House opened in Philadelphia in 1974 and was created to find and support programs that directly improve the health and well being of children. “We believe that when you change a child’s life, you change a family’s, which can change a community and ultimately the world,” said the non-profit. “We strive to be part of that change and part of the solution in improving the lives of children and their families by providing programs that strengthen families during their most difficult or challenging times.”

To help service the community, the organization will work with FORTRUST, a data center service provider, who will be donating a facility with over 200,000 square feet. The facility will be completely customizable to any of the charities allowing for them to work at their optimal level. Now, Ronald McDonald will be housed in a facility that can handle its needs.

“FORTRUST is proud to provide collocation space to such an outstanding organization that has done so much for our community,” said Rob McClary, vice president of FORTRUST. “We are continuously striving to find ways to give back to the community and are excited to implement the new ‘Powered by Giving’ program to assist in charities IT needs.”

Pam Whitaker, executive director for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Denver, Inc. said that community support has always been important to the charity and working with FORTRUST will help maintain the importance of giving back and making communities a better place to live.
