VaultLogix Unveils Online Backup Offering

VaultLogix, a business-class cloud backup company, has launched a new online backup offering called the Advantage Private Cloud. This solution offers small-to-medium-sized businesses (SMBs) and resellers cost-effective and secure offsite storage for terabytes of critical business data.

In fact, Advantage Private Clouds meet growing market needs due to the fact that it can handle large amounts of critical business data without worrying about mixing multiple clients’ data on a single server – often referred to as a “public cloud.”

With this offering in place, SMBs would now be able to replace the high cost of managing a server and software at their own data center, with a fixed-priced, completely managed private cloud from VaultLogix.

“If an average SMB were to try and re-create our Advantage Private Cloud solution, it would be cost-prohibitive,” said Kathy Ward, product marketing manager, VaultLogix, in a statement.

"We offer the peace-of-mind of a dedicated server and encryption, with the storage economies of scale VaultLogix can achieve to provide a Private Cloud solution at an affordable monthly cost,” Ward added.

Back in February, VaultLogix upgraded to its online backup solution, Internet Vault Advantage (IV-Advantage) 11.1. IV-Advantage 11.1 is a hybrid online backup solution that enables business users to backup their data both locally to storage of their choice and offsite to VaultLogix vaults.

The secure online backup service was originally introduced in 2008 and is part of the VaultLogix suite of online backup solutions that provides the company with the unique ability to customize a data backup solution for each business customer that optimizes speed, availability, and offsite protection given each customer's unique data, business, recovery, and budgetary needs.

Consistent with the VaultLogix focus on continuous improvement, IV-Advantage has improved its local backup capabilities, reducing the storage needed for customer backups and therefore allowing the customer to either reduce the amount of storage dedicated to data backup or increase the amount of data they protect at no additional storage cost.

With the storage usage reduction, IV-Advantage has also improved its backup speed, again providing customers the opportunity to backup more data locally within their backup window availability.
