Axis Unveils Axis M3006-V Network Camera

Axis (News - Alert) Communications is a company that offers the market’s broadest and most consistent range of high-quality network cameras. Axis network cameras connect to any kind of IP network, including the Internet, and enable remote viewing and recording from anywhere in the world, based on open IP standards. They also offer advanced video analytics features, such as motion detection, audio detection and tampering alarm.

Recently, the company introduced the Axis M3006-V network camera. This camera provides 3-megapixel, vandal- and dust-resistant fixed mini dome camera with a wide-angle view and HDTV 1080p to the Middle East.

The camera is simple to deploy and this indoor Axis M3006-V network camera has been created to cater to the video surveillance requirements of price-sensitive market segments such as retail stores, hotels, schools and offices. The camera offers a viewing angle of 134°. It provides complete coverage, enabling users to even look into the shelves on either side of the camera when installed near a corner of a store, for instance, the company stated in a release.

A statement from Axis said, "Axis M3006-V has the performance, easy installation features and the price to be an attractive offering for many market segments," said Baraa Al Akkad, the regional sales manager, Middle East, Axis Communications. The camera provides wide coverage, 3-megapixel images for superb details and HDTV 1080p for capturing movements clearly. It has considerable capacity for intelligent video applications, support for video management software such as the complimentary Axis camera companion”

Recently, the company announced an important upgrade to the free software client, AXIS Camera Companion, which includes support for audio, Public View Monitors, Axis' Corridor Format and video identification. The Company said that these upgrades to AXIS Camera Companion, which was recently named "Security's Best Winner" in the 2012 ASIS Accolades Awards Competition, will be especially advantageous to retail stores that have surveillance systems of 16 cameras or less.
