Syntricity Selects Nimble Storage

The dataConductor platform from Syntricity is a complete enterprise yield management system built upon a high-performance data warehouse. Apart from a suite of analysis capabilities that can be tailored to particular environments, Web-native, dataConductor features an optimized Oracle (News - Alert) database, standard and custom data parsers.

Recently, the company completed its latest improvements to primary and secondary storage in its dataConductor.com data warehouse, with the help of an advanced storage systems from Nimble (News - Alert) Storage.

Syntricity's dataConductor enterprise yield management (EYM) software gathers data from various manufacturing systems and integrates them into a single warehouse to support all phases of the semiconductor product life cycle.

With easy-to-use analysis tools that let the users quickly study characterization data, measurement systems data (for example, gauge R&R), and cross-operation relationships, dataConductor is also a product-level characterization system.

dataConductor offers the storage and analysis capabilities that a user needs to make excellent decisions rapidly, with a patented storage method to handle huge volumes of conditions (such as temperature, voltage, split, and so on) in a flexible manner, the company stated in a release.

Recently, the company partnered with CommVault to combine Nimble Storage CS-Series arrays with CommVault (News - Alert) Simpana snapshot management software as part of the CommVault IntelliSnap Connect Program. Nimble Storage gains access to CommVault’s snapshot management API’s to enable customers to extend their SAN investments while accelerating backup and recovery performance, reducing operational complexity and minimizing risk as an IntelliSnap Connect partner.
