HID Global Introduces Secure Identity Services

HID Global, a specialist in secure identity solutions, has introduced new is suite of Web-based services called Secure Identity Services, which reportedly aids customers in keeping up with every aspect of provisioning and managing personalized, secure credentials – both today and in the future.

HID’s Secure Identity Services Portal provides one-stop access to mission-critical applications for the deployment of personalized, secure credentials on card badges and mobile devices, eliminating capital investments on related equipment, supplies and labor.

Users can easily manage the daily flow of ID card badge requests and large-volume re-badging projects, combining multiple technology platforms onto one card, and deploying and managing mobile credentials carried on users' NFC-enabled smartphones.

"With our Secure Identity Services platform, customers have all the tools for creating, using and managing identities on cards and NFC-enabled smartphones, within a secure access network," said Jason Bohrer, senior vice president of managed services for HID Global.

Bohrer said it has included a variety of capabilities that make it even easier to do business with its broad range of applications and requirements, and for the first time, customers will be able to provision and manage credentials over the air with the same ease and simplicity as downloading a song from a cloud-based music service, initially using selected BlackBerry (News - Alert) smartphone models, and extending to a wide variety of NFC-enabled smartphones as they become available.

For quite some time now, HID Global has been offering a comprehensive suite of services to help customers address every aspect of their card-based secure identity solutions. Company officials confirmed that they help customers looking to outsource the daily flow of ID card badge requests, faced with the daunting task of re-badging 100,000 employees or looking to combine multiple technology platforms onto one card.
