Nuxeo Unveils Nuxeo Platform 5.6

Nuxeo Platform from Nuxeo has the ability to scale to repositories for terabytes of content and supports numerous users and caters to high-availability requirements of important content applications. Services can be distributed across various servers for optimized system performance.

Recently, the company unveiled Nuxeo Platform 5.6. According to the company, this is a major upgrade to the company's software platform. The Nuxeo Platform provides a combined environment for creating and installing content-centric business applications in the areas of content management, document management, digital asset management, case management, and social collaboration.

Nuxeo continues its strategic goal of offering a full-stack software platform and related toolsets for purpose-built content-oriented business applications with this new version of the Nuxeo Platform. By supporting users all through the complete application lifecycle: from design and development to deployment and operation, this version again increases the gap in relation to competitor products, the company stated in a press release.

“We've built on our experience with a case management solution to design this workflow engine and integrate it directly into the platform. Since we've designed the workflow engine for the platform, we were able to leverage existing services, and the combination opens the door for designers and developers to build innovative applications that are completely in sync with their business processes," said Eric Barroca, Nuxeo CEO. "The flexibility and customizability of this content routing technology will both ease and accelerate the development process for our customers.”

Recently, Liferay, a provider of enterprise-class open source portal certified the Nuxeo Platform as a content source for Liferay Portal 6.1 Enterprise Edition (EE).
