Nevion to Showcase its Signal Processing Solutions

Nevion (News - Alert), a provider of managed video services for broadcasters, service providers and government entities, has announced that the company will display its new signal processing solutions at an upcoming event. These solutions enable improved quality and increased density for 3G. They also offer the ability to mix and match through highly flexible modules.

Allowing the new AES-VMUX to work as a multiplexer and demultiplexer, Nevion’s new Flashlink family of flexible video, audio and data multiplexers includes SFP technology. This provides AES-VMUX with the ability to cater to the specific needs of any application.

The module transports a huge volume of digital audio signals with full asynchronous audio transport over SDTI transparently as it is armed with 16 AES audio ports that can be used as inputs or outputs. It also provides clock information of each AES signal transported along with the data.

The new ADDA-AES range of analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converters offer improved quality and enhanced density conversion. ADDA modules convert to and from eight mono channels, and can also be utilized along with AV-3G-XMUX modules, the company stated in a press release.

“Our new signal processing modules are designed to accommodate the reality of conditions facing broadcasters today and adding value where it is needed most,” said Svein Håvard Haugen, director of engineering, Nevion in a press release released by the company. “Design innovations such as advanced SFP technology have allowed us to build more scalability and functionality within single modules—all within our signature compact sizes.”

Recently, the company introduced its managed video and audio services platform: the VideoIPath 2.5. Offering IP video transport with comprehensive, end-to-end control, monitoring and management – all from one intuitive interface, the new platform is a fully integrated system. With open APIs integration based on application standard interfaces, the VideoIPath platform has been designed for openness, the company stated.
