Gigamon Unveils New Fabric Management System

Recently, Gigamon (News - Alert) introduced a fabric management system that improves the Visibility Fabric solution product.

The GigaVUE Fabric Manager (GigaVUE-FM) offers a unified view of the entire Visibility Fabric across physical and virtual fabric nodes.

Gigamon offers intelligent Traffic Visibility Networking solutions for enterprises, data centers and service providers all over the world. Without affecting the performance or stability of the production environment, the company’s technology provides infrastructure architects, managers and operators with unmatched visibility into the traffic traversing both physical and virtual networks.

The GigaVUE-FM makes the fabric management easier, enhances maintenance and addresses auditability. The product can do all this as it relates to the Visibility Fabric. In addition, the GigaVUE-FM offers the platform the ability to manage distributed GigaVUE-VM virtual fabric nodes.

Across numerous physical and virtual Visibility Fabric nodes, the GigaVUE-FM offers complete discovery and proactive monitoring. A simple, Web-based user interface identifies elements of the Visibility Fabric and associated configurations, including the discovery of clusters with master, standby master and member information.
