AppSense Labs Unveils Enhanced Version of StrataApps

AppSense has unveiled an enhanced version of its application management offering called StrataApps. Users can now administer personal productivity applications across several desktops and devices with StrataApps.

Currently, more than 8,000 applications have been deployed by users who leveraged StrataApps. Feedback received from users has been processed and applied by AppSense to further enhance its StrataAspps offering.

The new improved StrataApps offers a superior user experience and delivers enhanced application compatibility. The differences between user requirements and IT application service delivery are narrowed by StrataApps. Apart from allowing IT to manage and concentrate on the provision of key business applications, StrataApps also allows users to administer their individual applications.

In a release, Keith Turnbull, VP of Global Development at AppSense said, “Enterprise users require access to their personal productivity applications across a wide range of the desktop sessions and devices they use. As IT services face ever increasing pressures to deliver more and more applications, to more users, on multiple accessing devices, failure to provide users with the applications they require on any device, in any location, reduces their effectiveness as employees and impacts their productivity for the business. StrataApps delivers on enabling IT to implement people-centric computing.”

Users can now shift their StrataApps application DataStore to a broad assortment of external locations like removable USB drives, network shares, file servers and cloud based storage infrastructures, like DropBox, SkyDrive, Sharefile and Box (News - Alert).net, with the application import and export features provided by the latest StrataApps.

Users can now generate libraries and store logically grouped applications centrally with StrataApps’ option of exporting the StrataApps application DataStore to a large number of locations. In just a few clicks, users are able to import the data to any desktop session or onto any fresh device.

StrataApps not only simplifies IT management, but also offers supplementary benefits of computerized update notifications to the users. Users can download StrataApps for no extra cost at the AppSense website.
