App Annie Secures $6M in Series B Financing

App Annie recently closed $6 million in Series B financing. Greycroft Partners took the lead and received support from an international network of investors such as Infinity Venture Partners, Kii Capital, angel investor Jarl Mohn and Series A lead investor IDG Capital Partners.

App Annie is one of the premier providers for app store analytics and market intelligence for the global app economy.

App Annie will use the new funding to speed up its product roadmap and expansion into new app stores worldwide. App Annie users will be able to see more innovative analytics and intelligence services for different platforms and content areas during the next 12 to 18 months.

Apart from this, the funds will also be used to expand the company's presence within the U.S., China and Japan, as these three markets are considered huge in the global app store economy.

The company also has plans to ramp up its employees, especially within its San Francisco and Beijing offices.
