By Calvin AzuriNTT (News - Alert) Communications recently announced that it has effectively expanded its network connectivity in Germany. The company has deployed a new Point of Presence (PoP) on its Tier-1 Global IP Network in Munich. This is the sixth PoP that NTT Communications (News - Alert) has deployed in Germany.
In a release, Jens Leuchters, General Manager Central, and Eastern Europe at NTT Europe said that, "This is our sixth PoP in Germany. It's evidence of how important the European network is right now and demonstrates our strength in the market. Our customers are growing and choosing to set up new offices in Munich due to its strong economy. With PoPs already deployed throughout Europe's most important Internet hubs, we're looking forward to continued expansion."
With a large and quickly expanding customer base in Germany, NTT Communications' new PoP is a part of its on-going effort to further expand its business reach in Europe and to serve customers via its Tier-1 network. The company has already deployed two PoPs in Dusseldorf, and three in Frankfurt. With the sixth PoP in place, NTT Communications will now be able to offer ISPs and content network providers with direct access to its high-capacity, Tier-1 network. Customers of the company will benefit from high-speed and low-latency network connections.
Christian Pitsch, Director System Operations at Travian Games said that, "Travian Games requires high-quality, low-latency access for over 120 million worldwide customers, which as a Tier-1 network provider, NTT Communications can offer us. We chose them over other suppliers as they can provide all the services we need. We trust that NTT can support us with whatever technical challenges we may come across and the team has been great to deal with. They fit perfectly into supporting us with our global expansion."
German-based free-to-play online games publisher and developer, Travian Games, was on the lookout for a supplier who could provide it with managed data centre service support as well as associated data centre, office and internet connections. After careful considerations, Travian Games opted to go with NTT Communications based on the robustness of its services.
