Devon IT will showcase its VMware View Certified thin clients and thin client operating system and management software at VMworld 2012. VMworld 2012 will be held at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, CA (News - Alert), from August 26 - 30, 2012.
VMworld, hosted by VMware, is where one will find the knowledge and tools they need to leverage virtualization and the cloud to deliver truly transformative business results. At the event, businesses can join VMware as thousands of IT innovators explore the leading edge of the industry's most powerful trend.
“There's no question that the virtual desktop market is growing, a trend that is fueled by collaboration between IT thought leaders like VMware and Devon IT. New, more powerful thin client technology like the TC6 thin client coupled with advanced software like VMware View significantly expands the opportunities for IT administrators and organizations who need to do more with less. We are excited to share our ideas with other industry leaders at VMworld,” said Joe Makoid, president of Devon IT, in a statement.
DevonIT stated that it will feature TC6 thin client and also its patented VDIBlaster software at VMworld 2012.
Powered by a Dual Core AMD (News - Alert) T56 processor and supported by AMD Radeon HD 6320 Graphics processor, the TC6 is said to be the most dynamic Devon IT thin client to date and it is ideal for power users in one’s VDI environment. With two DisplayPort outputs and a total of six USB ports, the TC6 can take on any remote desktop task users require.
The VDI Blaster software converts PCs into secure, centrally manageable thin clients that can connect to centrally hosted desktops or applications. PCs repurposed with VDI Blaster are immune to viruses and totally stateless and organizations of all sizes can deploy it.
The company will also be conducting media-only demonstrations in its booth #222 at various times throughout the event.
