HearUSA Picks Host.net as Cloud Storage Provider

Many healthcare providers have started to move towards the cloud as a way to store medical records, and HearUSA has now joined that group. HearUSA is a recognized leader in hearing care and has a network of thousands of practicing professionals, as well as over 180 hearing centers.

In order to set up its corporate cloud network, HearUSA has decided to go with Host.net as its provider. They will manage the data at its Boca Raton colocation data center, and provide other services to the platform. It will additionally provide an array of both voice and data applications to the nationwide chain of hearing centers as well as their corporate HQ in North Palm Beach, Florida.

“Host.net (News - Alert) was the best provider in South Florida, so we selected them over all the others,” said Kevin Beninati, senior VP, HearUSA. “The benefit to us is the high level of service and support we get from the staff at Host.net.”

HearUSA, however, isn’t the first healthcare provider to turn to using Host.net. The cloud provider has been providing secure, remote data storage and processing, with full backup and recovery capabilities to not only the healthcare industry but also businesses, educational and even government organizations. This will allow audiologists and other members of the hearing care network to safely access private data from anywhere. Voice applications within the system will be provided by VoIP as it is the most scalable and cost-effective way of integrating an entire telecommunications network through an existing network structure.

Cloud storage makes sense for healthcare providers. There is a lot of patient and other data that not only needs to be stored, but it also needs to be conveniently accessible. Cloud storage through providers like Host.net is currently one of the best options to get that to happen so don’t be surprised if more and more healthcare providers and networks start drifting towards cloud storage.
