ForeScout CounterACT Optimizes Real-Time Visibility and Automates Endpoint Compliance

ForeScout Technologies announced that its ForeScout CounterACT has served Vistaprint N.V. optimally in advancing real-time visibility and automating endpoint compliance.

Vistaprint, an e-commerce provider of marketing products and services to micro businesses, desired to gain greater visibility into the security posture of all devices on the network, such as physical and virtual machines. The new solution satisfied this purpose besides also managing endpoint security policy and support compliance mandates such as PCI (News - Alert), said officials in a release.

The ForeScout CounterACT also helps scale across the globally distributed enterprise with management accomplished from a single console. This agentless solution ensures deployment flexibility, reduces implementation effort and leaves the operating environment undisturbed.

Commenting on the selection of the ForeScout solution Christian Ponce, manager of IT audit and compliance at Vistaprint said, “We were looking for a tool that could meet the needs of several different IT management teams: the asset management team, server team, information risk management team, and the desktop team. Since most of the NAC solutions we looked at were agent based, we zeroed in on ForeScout CounterACT, and quickly proceeded to conduct a proof-of-concept.”

Vistaprint operates over 25 localized websites globally and its network covers about 15,000 endpoints, including servers, desktops, laptops and personal devices. ForeScout CounterACT gave the Vistaprint IT staff real-time visibility into their complete environment and provides valuable IT information to stakeholders by mapping, classifying and assessing their environment.

It was revealed that CounterACT helps the company to quickly set, monitor, adjust and enforce policies. Within five days of deployment and tuning, CounterACT was able to track all 15,000 endpoints and servers.

ForeScout helps its client augment productivity and connectivity as it lets users to access corporate network resources whenever required securely. The implementation enabled automated solutions for network access control, mobile security, endpoint compliance and threat prevention. This provides IT agility eliminating risks and remediation costs.

According to officials, the ForeScout CounterACT platform is unobtrusive, scalable and easy to deploy, making it popular for applications in secure enterprises and military installations.

ForeScout Technologies announced recently that its automated threat prevention solution, CounterACT Edge, has been selected by Mediengruppe Pressedruck, a publisher and information provider in Germany.
