deCarta JavaScript API Makes Mapping Fun!

Mapping JavaScript API has become an important data services on the Web today. Many companies like Google (News - Alert), Yahoo, Microsoft and AOL are offering JavaScript mapping APIs platforms. Javascript API allows users to embed Map in their webpage.

deCarta (News - Alert) has reportedly introduced its third-generation JavaScript API for mapping and location services. To help users find what they’re looking for faster, this application, offers mobile and online customers with the ability to break their dependence on the big mapping platforms which potentially encroach on their business strategies.

The company is an independent geospatial software platform that has enabled some of the industry's most successful location-based services (LBS) applications.

"In the last six months, we have seen a strong market trend towards location services that can be tuned and targeted wholly to a company sites' brand, content and business model. This has resulted in many hundreds of new developers signing up to our DevZone," said J. Kim Fennell, president and CEO at deCarta. "Our new API makes it that much easier for these developers to build and deploy the creative location services that they want."

deCarta JavaScript API has been built on independent high-volume location engine, giving these companies the ability to deploy their own mapping properties. Developed on cutting-edge technology, it allows for building applications that run seamlessly on tablets, smartphones and desktop devices.

From a developmental standpoint, customers don't need to dedicate separate teams to build mobile versions of their desktop apps.

Working on cloud based service, deCarta's platform supports some of largest LBS services in the world.

deCarta DevZone is open for customers to download the complete source code for the API. Customers and developers can also go through detailed documentation and live examples with source code to quickly "Snap Together" and build a complete LBS application, significantly shortening development time.
