Sophos Unveils Sophos UTM 9

Sophos recently unveiled Sophos UTM 9, the first UTM specifically created to combine gateway security and endpoint security in a single hardware or virtual box.

The firm’s Unified Threat Management products combine complete security software within a single appliance. Users can select only the protection they require when they require it. They install it on the platform that best suits their company: software, hardware or virtual appliance. Each provides similar feature set no matter if they protect 10 or 5,000 users.

Sophos’ Web-based management console facilitates easy, consolidated management of all their IT security.

With this new offering, companies and IT teams no longer have to spend considerable time and resources on configuring various point solutions to safeguard their entire IT infrastructures.

Irrespective of location, Sophos UTM 9 offers complete security protection; it integrates the company's award-winning endpoint protection and unified threat management solutions into a single management console.

Recently, the company announced audited results for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2012. Sophos announced that the company has made significant improvements across mobile device management, mobile data protection, cloud encryption and UTM. It also strengthened its endpoint and data protection solutions; all components of complete security.

Sophos has updated all important offerings, with various major releases.
