Comstar Becomes FlexPod Distribution Partner

Previously, Cisco (News - Alert) and NetApp partnered to create FlexPod, a pre-validated data center solution created on a flexible, shared infrastructure. FlexPod is created on major computing, networking, storage, and infrastructure software components. It offers a suitable virtualized data center solution with the help of validated technologies from industry leaders in computing, storage, networking, and server virtualization.

Recently, Westcon Group (News - Alert), a value-added distributor of unified communications, network infrastructure, data center, and security solutions, announced its Comstor business unit partnered with Cisco and NetApp as their newest FlexPod distribution partner in EMEA. This new agreement allows channel partners to quickly provide dependable, customized data center products created on the Cisco and NetApp solution.

FlexPod is created to assist companies with improving its data centers and is created on computing, networking, storage and infrastructure software components. Allowing optimization for various mixed application workloads and hypervisor environments, the pre-validated solution is based on a scalable, flexible, shared infrastructure and is now sold by Comstor (News - Alert) in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, the company stated in a press release.
