Debriefing Software Launches Upgrade to Wizards for SVC

Debriefing Software’s enterprise customers will now be able to easily upgrade their Wizards for SVC. Wizards for SVC are cloud-based monitoring and reporting solution for IBM (News - Alert) Storwize V7000 and IBM SAN Volume Controller.

On the same day, IBM also launched its upgrade to their Storage SAN Volume Controller software 6.4. Debriefing makes sure that its customers will not experience any service interruptions and existing users of Wizards for SVC will have the upgrade installed automatically.

Wizards Storage Portal offers instantaneous and detailed insights to the customer site. The customer has an option to check both historical as well as current server performance analysis. The portal produces instant graphic reports in conjunction with the IBM San Volume Controller (SVC), IBM Storwize V7000, IBM Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) and Brocade SAN switches. Additionally, the Wizards Storage Portal can produce immediate graphic reports from easily customizable high-level status pages to detailed performance data at single volume level. These analyses are easily available and can be monitored from both an iPhone (News - Alert) and iPad.

Jesper Matthiesen, CTO of Debriefing Software, said in a press release, “This upgrade of Wizards for SVC provides full support of SVC's new real-time compression feature. Since Wizards for SVC is based on native support, we are able to release our upgrades in sync with the latest IBM SVC release, so none of our customers will experience service interruptions.”

Further, Debriefing Software recently launched a non-intrusive, cloud-based, pay-as-you-use storage resource management (SRM) solution in the UK. The company is among experts in cloud-based Software as a Service (SaaS (News - Alert)) for IBM Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM), Storwize and SVC solutions. The newly SRM solution is designed to lessen and optimize storage and backup CAPEX/OPEX (News - Alert) for both mid-sized and large IT infrastructures.
