Stackpop Brings zColo's Inventory to the Web

Almost everything that is done in the B2B marketplace is connected directly or indirectly with the basic act of buying and selling, the only difference being in the type of merchandise that is offered for sale or purchase. Hence, connecting premium service providers with qualified market buyers is important.

zColo, by entering into a formal agreement with Stackpop, the free-to-use online marketplace that connects premium service providers with qualified, in-market buyers, through an e-commerce platform, hopes to further its reach through the web-based portal.

“Not only does zColo provide a top-notch product, but they also operate the Meet Me Room at 60 Hudson in Manhattan, which is one of the most important interconnectivity facilities in the world," said Jason Evans, CEO at Stackpop, while commenting on the partnership.

"We understand the desire for customers to compare providers and facilities and purchase their global Internet infrastructure through a consolidated tool,” added Evans.

The agreement with Stackpop makes even more sense with the recent acquisition of AboveNet, slated to be completed shortly. zColo will now also operate 20 facilities in key interconnect-focused Carrier Hotels and Data Centers, consequent the AboveNet acquisition.

zColo, an interconnect-focused colocation infrastructure provider, having already made its inventory for all facilities available in the Stackpop database, will make additional inventory available through Stackpop after completing the acquisition.

While buyers can access a global inventory of Internet infrastructure through a single online source at Stackpop, potential customers get to see the whole works and can even place orders, negotiate for better bargains and sign an agreement with the ultimate provider very quickly.

Stackpop was founded in October 2011 by operations and infrastructure professionals. It currently has infrastructure partners and customers in 15 countries. It is reportedly the first B2B marketplace that connects providers and buyers of Internet infrastructure services providing intelligence and access to real-time, curated solutions.

Other news reports Frankfurt-based ancotel (News - Alert) GmbH, a European carrier neutral interconnection company, announced it is the first global colocation and interconnection provider to sign with Stackpop.
