The enterprise virtual applications marketplace offers developers, small and medium companies to find and use application that enhances the functionality of business.
UForge App Store, the first collaborative, multi-cloud app store platform for enterprise IT applications has been introduced by UShareSoft. The company offers cloud providers, enterprises and ISVs a complete platform for building dynamic application marketplaces.
UForge App Store features a white-labeled online store front for on-demand user access to applications, self-service VM factory for model-driven creation, maintenance and customization of application stacks and sharing and social networking features for improved collaboration on application stacks.
According to a press release, UForge App Store allows cloud providers to maximize revenue by ramping users more quickly to their cloud. It allows enterprises to improve collaboration between engineering teams; and offer users on-demand access to certified, ready-to-run applications.
It helps ISVs deliver software through multiple cloud marketplaces, creating new routes to users.
“The AWS Marketplace paves the way for other IaaS providers to offer their own store,” said Alban Richard, CEO, UShareSoft. “However, these stores need to move beyond a simple image library. We're working with providers, from large telcos to smaller web hosts, to create collaborative marketplaces that include tools for users to quickly onboard, share and maintain application stacks.”
UForge App Store works exceptionally well with IaaS platforms, including Amazon, Abiquo (News - Alert), Citrix CloudPlatform powered by Apache CloudStack, Eucalyptus, Flexiant, Nimbula, OpenStack and VMware, offering organizations the infrastructure component required to quickly offer an application marketplace in hybrid environments, from virtualization to private and public cloud.
