CloudOne Delivers Hosted Stress, Performance, Load Testing Solutions

CloudOne will be offering performance, load and stress tests also in its hosted Software-as-a-Service (SaaS (News - Alert)) testing program. These tests will be delivered in hourly increments.

“CloudOne worked closely with our testing partners to determine the typical test execution scenarios for load and performance,” said James Pietrocarlo, vice president of business development at CloudOne. “We discovered that a typical run requirement could be as little as four to eight hours of execution and this testing pattern needed a pricing model to support those peak test runs.”

“By extending our current solutions to meet market demand, we enable clients to make the best use of their testing dollars and stress their applications without overpaying for rental time they may not be able to fully utilize,” Pietrocarlo added.

This expansion in the monthly services delivery will now include an hourly increment of consumption. This time can be employed by test teams to conduct tests on-demand easily, taking less time.

CloudOne and IBM (News - Alert) software have joined to make this initiative possible. They will deliver an hourly performance test solution suiting the needs of testing professionals. They will now be able to perform periodic heavy load testing for less.

This hourly schedule for testing will let users perform critical large load testing in order to help decipher weaknesses in the application under test. This does not require users to search for available resources besides helping them eliminate more hardware and bandwidth expenditure.

“This new offering from CloudOne will help address customer requests for more control and flexibility and improved cost structure in software testing,” said Rob Lamb, vice president of sales at IBM Rational.

The initiative, providing a conducive testing environment on demand, unlimited scalability, computing power and bandwidth, will augment the testing capabilities, making it cost effective and flexible.

CloudOne also announced the launch of the CloudOne Affiliate Reseller Program to accelerate the global footprint for CloudOne and its worldwide partner network. By enlisting in-country business partners around the world, CloudOne can provide clients with the ability to work with local sellers, consultants and data centers to maximize the cloud experience in a global market.
