Marcus Hotels & Resorts, a division of The Marcus Corporation, has just announced the successful completion of a multi-million dollar renovation project. The project involved renovation of all 240 guestrooms and public spaces at the Hilton Madison Monona Terrace, a Madison, Wis.-based property, owned and operated by Marcus Hotels & Resorts.
According to a press release, since its inception eleven years ago, the property has been attracting the business travelers and vacationers alike. Strategically located in the heart of Madison's dining, shopping, entertainment, art and theatre districts and connected to the Monona Terrace Convention Center, the hotel lets its guests easily mix business and pleasure. The renovation project is aimed at providing its guests with higher level of service and an expanded list of amenities.
Under the renovation project guestrooms were given a new sleek and clean look. Mahogany dressers and desks featuring media hub connectivity were added to the furnishing. Each guestroom is now equipped with in-room guest safes and new carpeting adds to the rooms’ aesthetic appeal.
Other enhancements include decorative lighting, refrigerators and the Hilton Serenity Bed Collection for ultimate relaxation and comfort.
Eight standard guest rooms were converted to Jr. Deluxe Lakeview Suites with privacy walls to create a separate seating and sleeping area.
The hotel's three Presidential Suites received complete make-over with the latest technology. In fact, expanding the hotel's technology infrastructure to provide convenient accessibility around-the-clock, was one of the most important goals of the project.
“The updated renovations are focused on providing an upscale, urban and residential feel to the rooms and public spaces, while exceeding Hilton's design specifications,” general manager Bob Caston commented in a statement.
“Each guestroom is now equipped with a media hub that connects a guest's laptop or mobile device to the in-room television, essentially transforming it into their own personal entertainment center. Our lobby area and Jr. Deluxe Lakeview Suites have been remodeled with custom C-shaped tables for easy laptop use, featuring enhanced connectivity and built-in charging stations for convenience. Our guests can enjoy Wi-Fi from a comfortable seat in the lobby while doing business or just relaxing. We look forward to building on our position as the leading hotel in the city,” Caston further revealed.
