Idera Now Offers Continuous Data Protection to Japanese and Spanish Regions

Thanks to the extension of Idera's R1 Continuous Data Protection (CDP) version 4.0 to the Japanese and Latin American markets, individual users can manage backup and restore operations in their native language through the product's rich and intuitive, Web-based user interface.

R1 Soft's backup and recovery products for servers in the cloud, which is used in more than 1,000 data centers in North America and Europe, protecting more than 250,000 Windows and Linux servers, is reportedly a leading commercial backup software in hosted services.

CDP 4.0 new translations will now enable Idera to provide the Japanese and Spanish regions with the same high performance backup software that is currently used by its cloud infrastructure providers.

"R1Soft CDP is known in North America and Europe for having the fastest, most scalable, yet, affordable server backup software for both Windows and Linux platforms in private and public clouds," said David Wartell, vice president at R1Soft Products at Idera, in a press release.

Designed by data center engineers for data center engineers, R1Soft claims to be the only CDP software that can protect both Windows and Linux servers.

The new CDP is affordable, easy-to-use, provides high performance backup, restore, and disaster recovery and has a central management and data repository.

Idera's R1Soft CDP 4.0 in Japanese and Spanish is currently available and is priced at $699.

TMCnet reports that Idera, a provider of SQL Server management and administration solutions, announced that its SQL diagnostic manager, SQL safe and SQL compliance manager will support SQL Server 2012 when it is generally available.
