Codesigned Turns to Bluelock Virtual Datacenter for Fast Multi-tiered Environment Creation

Certified VMware vCloud Datacenter provider of Virtual Datacenters hosted in the public cloud, Bluelock, announced Thursday that it was selected by Codesigned, a technology services firm focused on collaboration solutions, to facilitate the delivery of its hosted Microsoft SharePoint solution. Using Bluelock's Virtual Datacenter, Codesigned was able to develop a multi-tiered environment in order to start up a development farm, staging farm and production farm for its SharePoint Private Cloud.

"We wanted to find a partner that would provide quality of service beyond just the virtual hosting aspect," said Jake Weaver, CEO and founder of Codesigned, in a press release. "Bluelock's Virtual Datacenter model provided us with flexible and agile IT infrastructure that we needed to deliver the service in a cost-effective and reliable manner. But what really made Bluelock stand out is their quality of support and managed services. We're able to leverage their team's extensive experience and expertise in the enterprise market. Bluelock consistently provides our team frontline support as we continue to optimize our SharePoint Private Cloud and serve enterprise customers such as WellStar Health System."

WellStar Health System is comprised of 12,000 team members at five hospitals and more than 100 physicians' offices throughout northwest Georgia's metropolitan area. WellStar needed a comprehensive SharePoint solution that featured dynamic content, custom Webparts and manageable infrastructure in order to launch WellStar.org. With WellStar's go-live date fast approaching and its IT department busy with a number of projects, WellStar's marketing department turned to Codesigned. Due to the fact that Codesigned's SharePoint Private Cloud runs in a Bluelock Virtual Datacenter, the team was able to design and host a multi-tier farm quickly.

Bluelock Virtual Datacenters take only minutes to set up, by way of either the vCloud Director-based self-service interface or with Bluelock's managed services team. Public and private virtual machine (VM) templates are included for quick VM building or users can simply upload VMs they already have running in an environment.

Earlier this year, Bluelock was placed in the "Leaders" quadrant of Gartner (News - Alert) Research's “Magic Quadrant for Public Cloud Infrastructure as a Service.”
