Windstream, a provider of advanced network communications, is introducing the red carpet for one lucky movie buff.
Merge is Windstream’s new high-speed Internet and streaming entertainment service. The company will commence an entertainment sweepstakes and embark on a 29-city tour this summer. The Merge Ticket to Hollywood Tour in Harrison, Ark, will begin on May 25. Once the contest reach all the 29 cities, the tour's brand ambassadors will visit local movie theatres and Windstream retail stores.
The contest Merge Ticket to Hollywood Sweepstakes will begin on May 21, 2012, and close Friday, Aug. 31, 2012. Interested contestants can enter online on the Windstream Connects Facebook (News - Alert) page for a chance to win the movie package. Windstream will declare names of the winners on Sept. 6. The winners will obtain round-trip airfare for two to Los Angeles, Calif., a 5-night stay at The Hollywood Roosevelt hotel, two passes for a back-lot tour of a movie studio, $1,000 cash, one 60-inch flat-screen television, one year's worth of movie tickets for two and a 1-year subscription to HuluPlus.
Customers can enjoy their unique entertainment choices directly on their television by tailoring their entertainment experience through a high-speed Internet connection. Windstream also offers broadband, phone and digital TV services to consumers primarily in rural areas.
Windstream was recently in news when it reported earnings of $0.13 per share on sales of $1.5 billion, missing EPS estimates by $0.00 and missing revenue estimates by $12.7 million. In the past 52 weeks, Windstream share prices have been bracketed by a low of $9.32 and a high of $13.57 and are now at $9.39, 1 percent above that low price. The 200-day and 50-day moving averages have moved 0.55 percent lower and 2.23 percent lower over the past week, respectively.
