Comstor Supports Cisco UCS B-Series and C-Series Servers

The Cisco (News - Alert) UCS B200 M2 Blade Server provides ease of use, performance, and density for production-level virtualization and other mainstream data center workloads. The convergence of network fabrics and the integrated systems management of Cisco UCS B-Series Blade Servers also reduces capital and operating costs. These servers work with virtualized and non-virtualized applications as they are based on Intel Xeon 5600 series and the Intel Xeon processor E7 and E5 product families.

Recently, Comstor business, a unit of Westcon Group (News - Alert), has created partner support for the Cisco UCS B-Series and C-Series Servers. Comstor UCS Selector is a new online configuration tool improving the company’s offerings for partners – including Executive Relevance Selling (ERS) and LEAP (Learn, Experience, Architect and Plan) “Centers of Excellence” initiatives.

Assisting resellers to create new income streams based on Cisco UCS, Comstor provides innovative support programs. Providing training licenses for global partners based on unique methodology assessment and ROI tools, ERS is completely concentrating on selling UCS to executives. The selling tool also builds on the success of Comstor’s (News - Alert) global LEAP “Centers of Excellence,” each engineered to replicate a real-world data center, the company stated in a press release.

In 2009, TMC’s (News - Alert) Rajani Baburajan reported that the company successfully completed and launched the backbone support ring of its transport telecommunications network in the Moscow area. Comstar’s Moscow Regional Branch has completed the most important stage of the transport network construction project in the Moscow region with the launch of backbone support ring. The transport network’s support ring consists of 11 backbone nodes and will be used in the future to attach fiber-optic lines connected to remote regional towns.
