TP-LINK recently introduced the new performance-based AV500 Gigabit Powerline Adapter, which has been designed to provide easy set-up and robust high-speed network connectivity for the home or office.
TP-LINK’s AV500 Gigabit Powerline Adapter can support high-speed streams at up to 500Mbps over a 300 meters length line for faster network creation. By delivering such high speeds, the AV500 Gigabit Powerline Adapter offers the necessary performance support which enables home or office solutions to easily connect with devices that are network compatible. The company’s Quality of Service (QoS) function has also been included in the new AV500 Gigabit Powerline Adapter, which overlooks provisioning of bandwidth requirements of data traffic for even the most bandwidth intensive applications.
To ensure low power consumption, the AV500 Gigabit Powerline Adaptor comes with a Power-Saving Mode. At times when there is zero data transmission or the reception occurs in five minute intervals, the adapter automatically shifts from regular "Working" mode to "Power-Saving" mode, which can effectively lower energy consumption by up to 85 percent. The adaptors also feature twin buttons which allow users to easily set up connection with 128-bit AES encryption, ensuring robust network security and data protection.
Howard He, product engineer of TP-LINK USA, stated in a press release that, "Our flagship Gigabit Powerline Adapter transforms your home or office power outlets into a high-performance network with no need for new wires or drilling. With our convenient network at 500Mbps, the Gigabit Powerline Adapter will transmit multiple HD video streams to every room or office, making it an exceptional choice for an easy-to-build multimedia network."
Priced at $89.99, the AV500 Gigabit Powerline Adapter (TL-PA511KIT) has been designed to be HomePlug (News - Alert) AV standard compliant, and can support high-speed data transfer rates of up to 500Mbps and comes with one Gigabit Ethernet Port while the QoS feature ensures networking flexibility and reliable HD video streaming. The adaptors also come with a plug-and-play setup which requires no configuration; a Patented Power-Saving Mode which automatically lowers power consumption by up to 85%; enhanced performance over 300 meter length line, and includes the 128-bit AES encryption for improved security for Powerline communications.
