GBS Partners with Teamstudio

IBM (News - Alert) Lotus Notes offers an easy-to-use, single point of access to everything users need to get their work done quickly including business applications, email, calendars, feeds, and more. It also allows users to tailor their work environment with widgets that bring social communities that are important to their job, both within the enterprise and across the Internet, right into their peripheral view.

Recently, GBS Enterprises Incorporated entered into a strategic partnership with Teamstudio (News - Alert) to assist customers easily and safely facilitate Lotus Notes applications for use on today's most popular mobile device platforms. According to the partnership, GBS’ skills will be used to create the mobile application interfaces and Teamstudio's Unplugged product will be used to provide native device support.

Teamstudio Unplugged offers considerably lower Total Cost of Ownership by improving the customers’ investment and abilities of their existing IBM(R) Lotus collaboration platform, the company stated in a press release.

“Our Transformer solution has been helping Lotus Notes customers modernize and migrate their applications so they can be run on the Web and in the cloud," says Joerg Ott, CEO of GBS. "Teamstudio's Unplugged product technology will now allow us to offer our customers a first-of-its-kind, complete end-to-end solution for their modernization projects, making it possible to easily extend those applications to their iPhones, Androids, and iPads as well, without changing any of their back-end code or data.”

Recently, the company appointed five new independent board members, enhancing the size of the board from two to seven and also announced a standing audit committee, compensation committee and governance committee. The five new directors, Woody A. Allen, Stephen D. Baksa, David Darsch, John A. Moore, Jr., and Mohammed Shihadah combine their collective skills gained through their successful careers spanning corporate and financial management, private equity and technology development.
