Kirusa Platforms Handle 600 Million Calls in March

Kirusa (News - Alert) is a provider of mobile social media and value added services. With its abundant portfolio of mobile services, Kirusa is allowing users in evolving markets to optimize the value they derive from their cell phones.  Kirusa is working with more than 30 carriers in Africa, Middle East, South and South East Asia, CALA, and Eastern Europe, and services more than 65 million mobile subscribers every month.

Recently, the company revealed that its platforms processed more than 600 million calls in March 2012, creating a new landmark in the company’s history. The company’s platforms are deployed with over 30 mobile carriers.

The increase in traffic shows the increasing adoption of Kirusa mobile services with mobile users, and shows the reliability and scalability of its platforms. The company also reported that the number of unique mobile users of Kirusa mobile services grew to more than 70 million in March 2012, the company stated in a press release.

Surinder Singh Anand, vice president of Product Management at Kirusa, said, “The record traffic demonstrates the high acceptability of Kirusa’s services among tens of millions of mobile consumers across the world. Our services uniquely capture modern consumers’ needs to effectively communicate using a mobile phone, as well as treating the phone as a tool of entertainment. As we enter the age of data services and smartphones, integration of the many online activities with voice and SMS greatly enhances consumers’ comfort.”

Further, the company also enables Twitter (News - Alert) users to send voice tweets or short audio snippets to improve their Twitter presence. To get started, a user signs up at callntweet.com. During sign up process, he/she is then asked to authorize Call-n-Tweet to connect to their Twitter account and provide the phone number from which they will utilize the solution.
