MERETHIS Selects ActuateOne

MERETHIS, the company that provides the open source monitoring platform, Centreon, has selected ActuateOne from Actuate (News - Alert) Corporation to cater to the information visualization and analysis needs of its clients.

ActuateOne redefines the Business Intelligence category by shifting from a set of disparate tools to a suite of integrated capabilities within a single environment. ActuateOne is a single common architecture that helps in the development and deployment, by using one design, one server and a seamless unified end-user experience. It caters to the dynamically evolving requirements of information consumers.

Centreon BI has been using open source BIRT from Eclipse for a long time. MERETHIS upgraded Centreon BI to ActuateOne to meet the quickly evolving customer requirements for more BI functionality. This included state-of-the-art interactive report development and customization tools. ActuateOne also offers value added capabilities for BIRT and will facilitate MERETHIS to provide innovative, user friendly functionality to its Centreon end users, the company stated in a press release.

“We are excited to add MERETHIS to the growing number of ISVs that are upgrading to ActuateOne after working with open source BIRT," said David Armstrong, VP of OEM and SaaS (News - Alert) at Actuate Corporation. "Actuate's OEM customers have experienced dramatic increases in adoption of their BIRT-based applications by garnering enthusiastic customer reception to the interactive, highly intuitive interfaces ActuateOne enables. We have no doubt that the market reception for Centreon BI will be positive.”

Recently, the company partnered with Cloudera, creator of Cloudera's Distribution Including Apache Hadoop (CDH), and a provider of Hadoop-based software, services and training. ActuateOne’s BIRT provides access to data stored in Cloudera's Distribution including Apache Hadoop (CDH) for commercial and development environments with the help of HIVE Query Language (HQL). BIRT based information and business intelligence applications can natively access Hadoop as a data source for analysis, dashboards, reporting and interactive visualization.
