Amdocs, uTest Collaborate on Testing Procedures

The communications industry may soon have greater options in terms of testing procedures performed on select applications. Sources indicate two companies, Amdocs (News - Alert) and uTest, have agreed to collaborate on services related to testing Web and mobile applications.

The company claims its testing methods serve developers well as they do not just focus on controlled lab tests, but offer real-world testing.

“The only way to launch apps that consistently work in the hands of users – apps that are functional, reliable, secure and intuitive – is to move a portion of testing into the wild,” uTest officials said. “This means professional testers, with real devices, operating under true real-world conditions.”

Amdocs is the other company extending its services to work alongside uTest. The organization has been around for 30 years and focuses on servicing professionals in the communications industry. It has developed its own testing services and procedures that companies benefit from.

Unlike uTest, Amdocs reportedly concentrates more on tasks and services than just testing procedures of apps. According to its Website, the three main servicing roles it focuses on are listed as: “vision & strategy,” “transformation” and “management & optimization.”

Communications service providers will now be able to apply the services of both companies to get testing results completed.
