Panzura HP Integration Makes 'Big Data' Storage a Breeze

In a concerted effort to tackle the real-time challenges of “Big Data” by expanding its public cloud storage options, Panzura integrated its global cloud storage system with HP Cloud Object Storage.

HP Cloud Services, which was unveiled in the beginning of May 2012, offers HP Cloud Object Storage, a scalable, reliable online storage capacity on-demand that can be accessed even while on the go, according to company officials.

"As the enterprise continues to tap the benefits of the cloud, the sheer volume of data can lead to a multitude of strategies and a plethora of point solution technologies that can be difficult to configure within a company's infrastructure," said Ranajit Nevatia, vice president of marketing at Panzura, in a press release.

The integration helps Panzura combine the flexibility of its distributed storage and security and cost benefits of centralized storage with HP Cloud Object Storage's capacity to archive, back up and store large public and private data sets.

Enterprise customers are thus well positioned to enjoy low latency global file sharing, centralized data management, flexibility and scalability. The system also secures their data using a seamless solution powered by Panzura and backed by HP support.

Nevatia noted that the integrated solution was adequately equipped to tackle the real-time challenges of Big Data with a robust and flexible global file system that was affordable, elastic, and scalable with low latency.

The Panzura- HP Cloud Object Storage promises to be a boon for administrators working on shoestring budgets and users on the lookout for cost-effective quality storage solutions.

Other news reports that Panzura has been selected from a pool of hundreds of innovative companies from across North America by the Red Herring (News - Alert) editorial team, as a finalist for Red Herring’s Top 100 Americas award, a prestigious list honoring the year’s most promising private technology ventures from the North American business region.
