HOB Remote Desktop VPN is an Efficient Remote Access Solution

Secure remote connectivity solutions provider HOB GmbH & Co. KG recently announced the introduction of a new service, HOB Remote Desktop VPN, which reportedly provides “secure, flexible and comprehensive remote access to centrally stored company data and applications.”

As companies around the world increasingly recognize the advantages of Voice over IP solutions – current research suggests more than 60 percent of large enterprises have already switched to a VoIP telephone system – HOB maintains that only those which have optimized processes in place can get ahead.

It only stands to reason, after all, that if a company’s speech and data are used via the same network, that business can save costs by switching to a VoIP system. Not only will this result in a considerable cost reduction, VoIP can offer a number of benefits not available from traditional phone service – the integration of tele-workstations or intelligent call management, for example.

Furthermore, with VoIP, phone calls can be made from practically any location and always with the same company number. This is an excellent advantage for a company, primarily in terms of the integration of company-owned call centers or in the case of employees with home offices both domestically and abroad. Administrative work is reduced as a result, as installation, configuration and maintenance can all be completed centrally.

HOB RD VPN allows clients to connect to their central company phone system from any location worldwide with an Internet connection. The greatest advantage of HOB’s solution is that there is no need for installation of administration rights on the client side, allowing for quick and easy connectivity.

HOB first unveiled HOB RD VPN at the 2012 RSA Conference in March.
