TIBCO Debuts TIBCO Spotfire 4.5

With a large volume of data being produced every day, data analysts and business users have a hard time analyzing that data. It is easy to lose oneself in such large volumes of data, unless the users have some product to rely upon. TIBCO Spotfire is a product from TIBCO Software that helps customers to easily see trends, patterns, outliers, and unanticipated relationships in data with unprecedented speed and adaptability.

Recently, TIBCO announced TIBCO Spotfire 4.5. According to the newest version, Spotfire now covers all types of extreme information, including big data. Apart from providing new predictive analytics abilities and the capability to produce private-branded Spotfire analytics solutions for the iPad mobile digital device, it also provides "dimension-free" data exploration for structured and unstructured information.

“With these advancements, Spotfire has clearly established itself as the visualization-based data discovery platform for every data type that organizations leverage for invaluable insight," said Lars Bauerle, vice president of product strategy at TIBCO Spotfire, in a company press release. "We're now allowing organizations to pull back the curtain on every data type, regardless of volume, variety, velocity or complexity.”

The TIBCO Spotfire Enterprise Analytics platform provides an advanced, rapid BI experience and is far more suitable to solve specific industry and business problems. Unlike conventional BI, Spotfire software changes the power to ask and answer virtually unconstrained questions to front-line users. Also, it does not need numerous new reports or custom queries from IT, the company stated in a press release.

Recently, PT XL AxiataTbk (XL), an Indonesia mobile carrier, opted for TIBCO’s software to strengthen its new mobile payment solution. According to XL, the mobile payment platform will bring the advantages of mobile payment to consumers. It will also let the company and its ecosystem partners of banks, merchants, transportation companies, billers and other remittance agents to come up with new services that increase income and improve relationships with consumers.
