Oracle Gives MetaSolv 6.2.1 General Availability

Oraclehas been well known as an innovator in the technology field for decades and yesterday they made another move that will only cement their standing in their business sector. The move they made certainly won’t win a ton of fans in the consumer gadget field, but their making of the MetaSolvSolution 6.2.1 will be a welcome addition to most businesses that rely on virtual networks and external integration in order to be successful.

Among the uses that the MetaSolv (News - Alert) package offers is the ability for Communications Service Providers (CSPs) to have a pre-packaged, pre-integrated OSS solution that works just as well to support both retail and engineering ordering. This particular solution is able to handle both network inventory and work management issues when they come up and it is able to handle whatever the CSPs need it to take care of in a more efficient manner. 

Oraclesaysthat the release of MetaSolv 6.2.1 will allow for CSPs to configure their networks more cost efficiently, because there will be less time and effort involved when setting up a virtual connection. MetaSolv will also allow for developers to change up the way their soft connections are set-up and there is limited availability of a redesign of virtual connections. 

Oracle’s (News - Alert) program will also allow for more operational efficiency, mainly because of a streamlined workflow management interface that will allow the users to expedite their orders. The improved network integration is another real key to this particular software when it comes to CSPs. Integration with Oracle’s Communications Network Integrity suite means that there will be easier network discovery, assimilation and reconcilliation. That means that the network will have a more accurate and safe connection and will suffer less data fallouts.

The best part of Oracle MetaSolv is that the solution can be used either as a standalone program or be integrated with other applications as part of a broader solution. MetaSolv works with a variety of other Oracle programs such as the company’s Communications Network Resource Management and the Communications Converged Fulfillment for Business Services.
