Consult2Comply Assists Unisys Federal Systems with ISO/IEC 20000-2011 Certification

Regulatory compliance software and managed compliance services provider Consult2Comply has recently unveiled that it aided Unisys Federal Systems in its ISO/IEC (News - Alert) 20000 certification.

The certification measured Unisys’ ability to deliver high-quality IT managed services. It does this through data center management and technical support services, which it provides to external clients.

Unisys (News - Alert) was awarded the certification for the ISO/IEC 20000 framework it utilizes in the delivery of data center services, along with the work it carried out on the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) Desktop Management Initiative (DMI) II contract. Consult2Comply assisted Unisys in creating, developing and implementing the framework.

The certification is awarded by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). The ISO/IEC 20000-2011 certification is an international standard for IT service management.

Earlier this year, ISO/IEC revised the standard earlier this year to include stricter security requirements.

The certification requires service providers to supply managed services, while it has detailed best practices. The certification also specifies five key service management processes providers must deliver effectively: service delivery, control, resolution, and relationship.

The ISO/IEC 20000-2011 certifies Unisys’ ability to provide effective IT solutions to federal clients.

“The new version of the standard necessitated creating virtually a whole new framework,” said Steve Crutchley, CEO and founder of Consult2Comply, in a statement. “We’re proud of the fact that Unisys was assessed with zero non-conformities and unconditional approval, placing them among few other corporations in the United States with this certification.”

Consult2Comply has managed the certification process for 13 companies. Of these guaranteed deliveries, four were achieved in less than three months. Among the companies Consult2Comply has helped achieve the standard is Indigo IT.

Meanwhile, Consult2Comply launched a fully automated and hosted risk assessment product in February. Called My Risk Assessor, the product is aimed at helping executives and directors to understand risk assessment, along with related responsibilities.
