Sanbolic Products Now Support System Center 2012

Sanbolic, a maker of software to manage storage solutions under Microsoft (News - Alert) System Center, has announced the availability of updated versions that now support System Center 2012. Its Virtual Manager solution is available today, while the Operations Manager and Orchestrator products will be available at the end of Q2, according to a press release. As Microsoft rolls out their latest version of the popular enterprise system, companies from all sides of the industry are quick to announce support for the 2012 release with their own products and extensions.

Sanbolic Melio, their main software product, is a purpose-built solution meant to alleviate the data management and performance needs of companies when using distributed physical and virtual environments. It can be used to manage both Windows Server and Hyper-V to help and simplify the provisioning of SAN or DAS storage while improving data protection, and allowing live migration. Melio also supports virtual servers and private clouds, according to the release.

Thanks to this new version, this software will integrate into environments running System Center 2012, and can be used to manage storage solutions along with their backup schedules, virtual hard drives, and much more. Some of the latest features also bring things like granular quality of service management and storage live migration to the table. Whether it's managed through a WMI API or through PowerShell, the new version simplifies logical storage requirements of many businesses. Even advanced functions like mirroring and quality of service are provided by this management interface.
