Oracle launches Most Advanced Service Fulfillment Suite to Date

A new version of Oracle’s (News - Alert) Service Fulfillment suite promises to help service providers increase design and deployment speeds of new services, improve customer service efficiency and reduce overall IT complexity.

Oracle today announced the release of Oracle Communications Order and Service Management 7.2, Oracle Communications ASAP 7.2, Oracle Communications Unified Inventory Management 7.2 and Oracle Communications Design Studios 7.2. The new offerings can be installed as a full suite or as individual applications.

The latest version of Oracle’s Service Fulfillment suite allows communications service providers (CSPs) the ability to quickly deploy in-demand technologies, such as VoIP, LTE and IPTV (News - Alert).

"Oracle Communications Service Fulfillment suite has been engineered to provide a common design time environment and an unprecedented level of integration across the key functions of service fulfillment: order management, inventory and service activation,” Liam Maxwell, VP of products at Oracle, said in a company statement. “This enables CSPs to rapidly design services and efficiently deliver orders with reduced IT complexity, cost and risk."

Version 7.2 integrates with existing inventory systems to streamline the process of integrating new services with existing inventory. It provides implementation and support accelerators for various services, including mobile, digital video, VoIP, Cable TV and GSM/3GPP.

"Many CSPs face growing problems with slow service introduction due to fragmented service design and inefficient order delivery,” said Mark Mortensen, principal analyst at Analysys (News - Alert) Mason. “As a recognized market leader in service fulfillment, Oracle's open, pre-integrated Service Fulfillment suite is increasingly attractive to CSPs seeking a unified approach to bundled service design and efficient order delivery orchestration that has been proven across a number of service domains."
