FuseSource Introduces Beta Program for New Open Source Integration and Messaging Platforms

Open source software development is changing the way companies develop, acquire, use, and commercialize software. It has offered developers and researchers unprecedented access to data and enables knowledge production in all sectors.

FuseSource Corp., a company in open source integration and messaging, has introduced a beta program for two new platforms that deliver the capabilities that enterprises need to use open-source technology for all of their integration and messaging needs. The company has sent invitation to enterprise software developers, architects and DevOps professionals to participate in this program. FuseSource offers enterprise-ready integration and messaging software combined with the tools, training and expertise sought by organizations implementing and managing integration projects such as SOA, cloud environments and others.

According to a press release, both products show the low cost and flexibility inherent in open source and build on FuseSource enterprise-class offerings based on popular Apache Software Foundation projects Apache ServiceMix, ActiveMQ, Camel, and CXF.

The company has prepared beta program that include Fuse ESB Enterprise 7.0, an enterprise-class, open-source integration platform that is based on FuseSource offerings that have been proven in mission-critical deployments across hundreds of large enterprises. Fuse ESB Enterprise 7.0 is highly flexible to any environment.

Fuse MQ Enterprise 7.0, an open-source, standards-based messaging platform can be installed in any development environment with a very small footprint. The Fuse MQ Enterprise platform makes it easy for IT organizations to deploy and connect customized integration connections.

Both platforms, available for free, and help enterprises to manage integration and messaging infrastructure at a lower total cost as compared to traditional commercial solutions.

In other news, FuseSource recently announced that it achieved double-digit growth in its first year as the wholly owned subsidiary of Progress Software (News - Alert). Progress Software spun out FuseSource Corp. as its subsidiary to take advantage of an open source-based line of software integration and messaging tools that company picked up when it acquired Iona Technologies of Ireland for $162 million in 2008.
