TIBCO's ActiveSpaces 2.0 Allows Analysis of Big Data Sets

TIBCO Software Inc recently issued the news of its ActiveSpaces 2.0 software which improves and speeds up decision making for companies as it enables in-depth analysis of "big data." This innovative solution from TIBCO will enable companies to harness real-time digital, social and event streams along with business transactions as well as other data sources.

The latest offering from TIBCO has been based on the advanced "shared nothing persistence," technology. The means data can now be stored in memory and or on disk without the need for a central server which allows companies to access data faster. Furthermore, companies can quickly expand analysis by simply adding more servers to the data grid.  The solution comes with a persistent storage functionality which allows customers to shut down and restart their machines without worrying about loss of data access.

TIBCO ActiveSpaces 2.0 can work as a stand alone data grid which supports real-time processing and management of high data volumes or it can be used as a foundational platform to deliver in-depth analysis of big data sets in motion when paired with the TIBCO Spotfire analytics software and the TIBCO Spotfire S+ statistical modeling software solutions

ActiveSpaces when functioning with Spotfire and S+ supports historical analysis and allows companies to take proactive action on events all in real time. The ActiveSpaces 2.0 software has been made available as an enterprise edition through the company’s sales force. In addition to enhanced performance, the TIBCO ActiveSpaces 2.0 software solution provides .NET (News - Alert) support, OSX support and AIX support.
