DMI Grabs Application Development Contract with HHS

Enhanced IT solutions have been playing a major role in streamlining the operations of enterprises, and helping them carry out their business activities in a low cost and simple manner.

Digital Management, Inc., or DMI, a provider of IT solutions and business strategy consulting services, has announced that the Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of the Inspector General or ‘OIG’ has offered it a high-priced contract for modernizing and maintaining its suite of enterprise applications. During the last 18 months, DMI has been able to secure four major contracts with HHS, the current one being the latest.

Based in Bethesda MD, the company offers a range of enhanced services and solutions to its customers, such as Strategic Consulting, Managed Services, Application Development, Mobility Solutions and Cybersecurity Solutions. Clientele of DMI features fourteen of the fifteen U.S. Federal Departments, and a number of commercial clients as well.

Under the new contract, DMI will help the Software Development Branch of HHS in supporting the operations of the OIG by designing and implementing information systems and also taking care of its previously existing technologies within a wide range of areas.

Additionally, it will allow the organization to maintain and evolve its legacy OIG systems, create enhanced new modules and applications, and upgrade the old technologies. Within the project, DMI will also develop database administration services for all OIG applications, some of which are powered by Microsoft (News - Alert) technologies.

DMI is one of a select few IT services vendors that have achieved SEI CMMI-DEV Level 3 certification and multiple ISO certifications,” commented Sunny Bajaj, president and CEO of DMI. “These are a testament to our superior development framework, processes and methodologies. Combining this with our expertise in Microsoft technologies ensures that we will deliver the highest value solutions to HHS.”

The contract also specifies that DMI will look after an array of responsibilities at the HSS OIG. Some of them are Software Maintenance and Enhancements, New Software Development Code Refactoring, IT Project Management and Centralized Database Administration. Previously, DMI has grabbed three other contracts by HHS, one of which comprised the of offering management services for the Payment Management System or ‘PMS’ of HHS. The system offers support to over 450 Federal government organizations and more than 50,000 users worldwide. It processes Federal grant funds adding up to over $410 billion for more than 30,000 grant recipients every year.

In February 2012, Digital Management, Inc. announced that it is providing strategic consulting services to the Defense Intelligence Agency as Enterprise Senior Information Technology Advisor.
