WePay Partners with Layered Tech Inc. for Secure Payment Service

Since 2008 WePay has offered customers a safe and secure means of payment collection online. The service works much like major banks like PayPal (News - Alert), as bill pay as well. Layered Technologies, Inc., a provider of compliant hosting, announced that WePay  (News - Alert)chose the company’s PCI-compliant cloud services for its online payment platform.

The goal of the platform is to provide user-friendly, secure tools that allow people to sell items, send invoices and accept donations through other online accounts and credit cards. WePay chose to work with Layered Technologies because the company provides these services as well as a managed and regulated IT controls that allow WePay to focus more on the business aspect. The company intends to grow at a steady rate following the partnership.

At the beginning of March, WePay demonstrated their future plans at a South by Southwest (SXSW (News - Alert)) technology panel, explaining that WePay is the newest trend in collecting online payments. Though in its infancy stages still, the company plans to further expand in the next year.
