IGLOO Software Partners with MicroStrategy

Modern day business intelligence software helps customers make more informed decisions with timely, data-dependent answers to their business questions. Ideal Business Intelligence software lets the customers transform data into attractive and easy dashboards and reports for improved insights.

MicroStrategy (News - Alert) Incorporated, a provider of business intelligence (BI) software has partnered with IGLOO (News - Alert) Software to combine reporting and analytics into IGLOO’s social business suite, IGLOO has announced. MicroStrategy BI software runs against data stored in data warehouses, operational databases, ERP systems like SAP and Oracle (News - Alert), and MDX cubes like Microsoft Analysis Services, SAP BW, Essbase, and TM1

Looking to enhance the community management and reporting process, IGLOO will combine MicroStrategy’s BI platform into its administrative console.  The company can make use of a dashboard of indicators which are presented graphically, which includes activity, contribution types and top content. The company believes that there numerous ways to apply social analytics and it promises to do that over time, it stated in a press release.

“Traditionally, engaging in a dialogue with employees and gathering deep insights from those interactions was achieved through an annual opinion survey,” said Dan Latendre, CEO of IGLOO Software. “IGLOO’s social business suite provides a new type of visibility into the collaborative conversations and activities that occur within an organization. For many companies, uncovering this insight is a game-changer.  With our new social business suite, we will enable our customers to more effectively manage and optimize their talent.”

Recently, the company announced that International Data Corp. (IDC (News - Alert)), a global provider of IT market intelligence, advisory services and events, had opted for IGLOO to enable their customer community.

The online community, called IDC Insights, has rapidly become a trusted resource for IT decision-makers looking for information about technology investments. Over 150 IDC industry analysts are contributing members of the community sharing their experience and advice via recurring blog posts.
