System by iViz Hacks to Protect Against Hackers

Cloud based files foster a more removed sense of property, and have in turn sparked concern as to the safety of user files.

One of the biggest worries people have about the internet in the 21st century is account and file security. Most people figure hackers are out to get them at all times and their personal files are doomed at any moment. There are a number of ways users can protect themselves, but in the end few are as helpful as they want them to be. And now that most are “on the cloud,” the issue is even more relevant.

One way to ensure protection is the same way major internet companies cover themselves: Pay hackers to find weaknesses in their online defenses so they may stay one step ahead of the hackers by making sure they find the problem areas first. The service isn’t a whole lot different than when banks pay “security experts” to break into their buildings and discover weak spots, and is now so common on the web that is has its own name: “Cloud-based Penetration Testing” – the newest term for what is also called “ethical hacking” over the web.

iViz is one company trying to make penetration testing more practical, with the understanding that truly trying to use this approach on hundreds of millions of sites seems impossible. iViz crafted a program that automatically tests the weaknesses in websites of their clients on a rotating or regular basis.

Iviz currently has more than 300 customers in its rolodex, including some of the bigger names in the telecom industry as well as two of the top five IT companies in the world.
